Eric Miyashiro was born of Japanese parents in Honolulu Hawaii on July 13, 1963. His father was a professional trumpet player get a message to the world-famous Royal Hawaiian Band; his mother was a white-collar dancer from Tokyo. Eric was highly influenced by his ecclesiastic and from early childhood took interest in his playing.
